I guess I looked at it with the knowledge that those two actors were leaving, therefore, a fitting exit had to be written. In that context, I thought this was pretty damned good. Strictly from a character and plotting point of view, okay, disappointing.
Is it "meta" to keep in your mind that some plotting is based on

New Orleans…..
How much longer will you guys be running around in my city? You should check out Bacchanal on Poland Ave and Chartres. Treme has done some filming there. Also, the Columns Hotel on ST Chas where some of Pretty Baby was shot. There is the High School where Elvis' character went to school in King Creole

If no one else is gonna say it……
…Community is 1000% less gay than Glee.

Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter
"the film anticipated Beatlemania's excesses by showing teens so zombied-out by their favorite music they don't even notice hands being waved in front of their faces…."
Um… a 1957 movie about crazed teen music fans is NOT so much anticipating Beatlemania as it is remarking upon

I think we're all still ok with Maggie Gylenhaal. But Natalie Portman and maybe Scarlett Johansson have dropped a long way.
We are all totally on the same page about Alison Brie though.

Davis Mitchell and Robert Webb
That was a great interview! But how about one with the OTHER David Mitchell, the one who is half of Mitchell and Webb and star in Peep Show, whose new series 7 is starting soon I think.

Pump Up The Volume
1st of all, way too hard on Christian Slater!
2nd of all, SEAN CONNERY

Rowsdower!!

Season 4 = Don Draper's mid-life (existential) crisis
We're all so focused on the era and how characters will handle the social change, I think we're overlooking that Don is poised for a serious mid-life crisis that coincides with being newly-single and a big societal upheaval. This really could be one helluva great

Penis Von Lesbian
They did this on the Dick Van Dyke Show like 45 years ago, and even that episode admitted they were basically ripping off Candid Camera

Shut up already, Prince!….Damn!
Actually I think it is Prince that is over.
And I say this as a longtime fan who has seen the guy perform live 14 times(!!) and have three shelves full of Prince bootleg CDs (not including all the bootleg DVDs). I think at this point I actually have a bit more respect for Kenny G than

The Beastie Boys?!?!
Disliking the Beastie Boys is very very easy. If you have any taste in music, you'll find it comes really really naturally.

Carl Leavitt is to Barney Miller as
Scrappy Doo is to Scooby Doo.

mr_windup—-again, yes, maybe my fav show. And oddly enough, Todd's write-up was one that didn't start with episode one, series one. I think he covered 2 episodes at the start of series 4 or something.
I really wish they would cover that show. And I am an american, in New Orleans without BBCTV, so I have watched it

Same argument, from a musical perspective
Also, I kinda go along with Scott on this as well—I hate to start watching a show in the middle. I did it with the X-Files years ago, back at a time where "catching up" meant renting VHS episodes of earlier seasons.
I used to make a similar argument regarding Bruce Springsteen.

EvelKareebel—-Agree about Peep Show.
Why doesn't AV Club cover Peep Show anyway? Fantastic show—every bit the equal or superior to Flight of the Conchords (which was AWESOME, but reminded me of Peep Show in many non-musical ways) and Flight of the Conchords got covered.
This isn't precisely the place for trying to make

Joe Vs The Volcano
I think Joe Vs The Volcano is a brilliant movie. Until they get to the island. I hate all the "humor" on the island—Nathan Laine and Abe Vigoda, the scenes "cleaning" Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.
The very end, once they go up to the top of the volcano, gets back on track—the leap of faith, etc. But the

But seriously…..
were any actual cats hurt or killed in the making of this movie?
Because that's kind of a dealbreaker.

I, for one, do! I have a casually-mentioned-masturbation fetish, in which I can only get sexually excited by off-handed comments by women, about women, masturbating.
I watch a lot of Sex and the City and Golden Girls.
