my comment was in regards to the two jokes tone and context and why i think one is ok and the other is not. i find lots of stuff funny that would deeply offend some people - it's not worth worrying about.

there's a difference in context - i think chris rock's 9/11 joke is ok because it's not really at anyone's expense. if he'd joked about how shitty their wtc jobs were and how they probably would have just jumped out of the window anyway because they were so sick of it? that may have been less ok.
