And, because you have multiple new episodes to see, you can space them out. You could do, for example, Community Christmas viewing - one new episode a year until the movie comes out.

That's why in some cases it's good when people haven't seen shows like those. Like, I only saw Firefly and Terriers for the first time a few years ago. And Biscuit got to watch me watch them for the first time, which made him less sad about knowing that they were just going to end.
