As soon as I saw the sandpit in the first look of the challenge, I turned to my partner and said "okay, so the smart thing is for the first person to dig up all the balls", which a few minutes later turned into "there's no smart thing; this is insane.".

The only reason they'd bring him back now is to try to milk the whole Caleb thing. No way would Probst have him back now, especially since he quit last time.

Yeah, he yelled "All crew are essential personnel!" so I assume they'd been trained in what to do should such an occurrence happen.

Every time Cochran condescendingly called Erik the "ice-cream scooper", when at that point he was a graphic designer, and anyway there's nothing wrong with being an ice-cream scooper, I got so annoyed. It was just so douchey.

I gave her a pass because she was just trying to recover, but I was wondering at what point would it have to get to before she stepped in.

Well, some of the traits would cross over - if they were sneaking around and hiding their addiction, those, for lack of a better term in this context, skills, would come in handy on Survivor.
