...hence the irony of the fuel filler door lock.

I hope the lock on the fuel filler door is still functional.   I know that if I needed to steal some gas, this beast would be my #1 target!

How do you do these things, David?  Clothing wise?

As a certifiable old fart: I agree with anybody, millennial or otherwise, who thinks low-profile tires are garbage.

Thank each of you for putting up with this ridiculous shit.

Theodore’s best skill set in the ring was taking a punch. Contemporary accounts indicate he was a world-class “rope-a-dope” boxer. This leads me to believe he would have taken exception to anyone intervening before he got around to dealing out some punishment.

NASCAR was awesome. Strong emphasis on “was”. It all went to hell about he time they stopped racing Oldsmobiles. I don’t think the absence of Oldsmobiles had anything to do with the increased suck, but we’ll never REALLY know.

Oh yes, the people in that area are amazing. The question is, having seen the maps, would you rather buying a multi-million dollar car factory in that area or selling one?

I take it you haven’t seen the sea level prediction maps for SE Asia?

Indeed, the catch is that they are 7/8 the size of their full-size brothers, while the people who want a smaller tuck want them to be 5/8.   Why are the small trucks so big?

Buy a really nice adjustable wrench.   It’s never the right tool for the job, but it’s the tool you will use every time you don’t have the right tool for the job--which happens to be the very worst time to have a junk tool.

This is how I was taught to finance things in high school economics— give yourself maximum flexibility, then pay it off as quickly as is practical.

Still better than the current Gladiator.

This is true and relevant! If you look at the linked article, there is a table showing how much better EVs are and how much better the power grid is now as opposed to 2009 and 2016. They discuss how the reduction in coal power has made EV as significantly better option today than it was even just a few years ago.

That’s kind of limiting— there are not a lot of cargo ships crossing the continent, and cities are exceedingly rare in international waters.

Catalytic converters became mandatory in 1981, but, as I recall, all Ford and GM passenger cars had them in model year 1975, Chrysler got some kind of waiver, but had them on all passenger cars by ‘76 or ‘77.  I wasn’t paying attention to pickups at the time, but my guess is that they were allowed to skirt the issue

I was new car shopping in November 2019, and I actually wanted a CT6, until I drove one. The seats were awful. Not in the, “I want to be absorbed by a velour cloud, like I imagine must have happened to anyone in 1977 El Dorado, and you’ve given me a sports car seat!” way you might expect, but rather in a, “Is this

Neutral:

Clearly, you were a rich kid.

I continue to wonder what all this autonomous car business means for motorcyclists. Is it terrible or is it awesome? I welcome anything that will save me from distracted drivers, but I’m more than a little concerned that I’ll become a terrible loophole in some moron’s driving software.
