I was at one of the Watkins Glen races he won, and I managed to sneak next to victory lane. Myself and a bunch of other fans accosted him as he was leaving, and he stopped to sign autographs until his assistant/handler pretty much dragged him away by his ear.

Robby was always kind of a polarizing figure when he was in NASCAR, but I liked him a lot, and I was at Watkins Glen one of the years when he won. I can’t imagine the pain he is feeling right now, and I hope he finds comfort soon.
