I thought you were being facetious, and I googled "Meet the Mormons" on a lark. This is actually a movie, and that makes me sad.

...so playing a TV character that is an educated professional with conservative taste in fashion merits respect. Got it. Also deserving of respect just because:

For Nordstrom specifically, it looks like without a receipt (and they can use your CC to look up the receipt) they'll pretty much give you an exchange or store credit even though it's not specifically stated. Also, they've apparently been abused in the past and now require any "special event" apparel to have a tag on

Most stores require a receipt to do a straight refund, and the receipt would reflect the discount that was applied. Without a receipt, most stores would just issue store credit for whatever amount the item is selling for that day (assuming it's still being sold) or tell you to GTFO if it's suspicious.

I went through this earlier this year. My flight plan due to shitty weather was Aspen\Chicago\JFK. I can see straight from the airline's own flight status page that plane AB1234 is the one that we're waiting for to arrive from San Francisco to pick us up. I see that this plane is hopelessly delayed and will not be

Re: hotel - I've never been on a flight that got cancelled and rebooked for the next morning (e.g. ~7 hours or so) without the airline booking me a hotel room for the night. The airline's service desk will probably have a little booklet with hotel vouchers in it at least.

People talk about these women that want to subjugate all men while crying "feminism" and unfairly boosting the status of women above all else. I know a lot of women, many of whom have very radical ideas about gender equality/identity/etc. I have never, ever found one who advocated such an anti-man stance with any sort

That seems borderline vindictive. You would lose a profitable (if discounted) sale for the chance of making a no-discount sale at some later point, considering that someone has to package the sweater, make arrangements with the distributor to return it, and then be sure it was credited properly? When you as a retailer

These are great tips. I usually use a couple text files on my DropBox for notes until I need to enter it into an app to be useful - e.g. an appointment or due date goes on my calendar. I also have my "_scratchpad.txt" file as a shortcut on my taskbar.

"...sell drugs [and other services]." Modeling is a very UN-glamorous profession for most.

Is this the plot for Zoolander 2?

As a project manager who might be sloshing through a muddy construction site in the morning and meeting with some VIP titan of industry in the afternoon, I keep a change of nice clothes hanging at the office (or even in my truck if I know ahead of time) along with hairbrush, toothbrush, etc. so I can pop in and get

I've been in those environments as well. Although there was one particular client who shall remain nameless that required the technicians doing scheduled work on the house to literally hide in closets if the owners were walking through. Such modern day royalty bullshit does not sit well with me, and I was thankfully

Having been a technician subject to such dress code requirements, it can suck. Thankfully, most of the physical grunt work is usually during setup and teardown, where dress codes are more liberal. During the event (if your team did the job right) you're only there to operate and monitor equipment. "Technicians" in

By and large I think you're right - the PE teachers are really there to coach the extracurricular athletic teams, and must have some tenuous connection to education due to some rule or regulation, which results in lots of shitty "educators". That said, it seems like the great coaches are also the PE teachers that

That's certainly not true of everyone who claims boredom (and could be a sign of depression*), but if your energy level is low enough that your brain can't do something to occupy itself, then you need sleep or food or both. If it does have the energy, but not the ability to string enough neurons together to occupy

Agreed - water that might seem cool to a normal person is plenty warm for a frostbite

Support for Android, easier to use a "party mode" where multiple Airports are synced to the same stream, does not rely on your phone being constantly connected to WiFi, requires little technical knowledge to set up or join a system.

You're right; the S5 is the best speaker they have and it's not what I would call "great" - it's at about the same level as the Bose wave radio, i.e. what most people would call pretty good. I always recommend to get good independent components, and add in whatever your source du jour is - Sonos Connect, Airport

You'll do much better in my opinion by buying a set of really good speakers and an amp and just hooking a Sonos Connect to it. If Sonos falls out of favor for whatever reason, you'll still be able to use that hardware and while Sonos speakers do sound good, it doesn't take much to sound better.
