Hmm, the fade effects ARE pretty nice looking in the photos. Also, the gloss coat keeps it pretty clean, as the matte woods typically have some texture that can fill with dirt/dust.

My 1999 Mustang got painted Pike's Peak White (see effects above), the pearl color from the Nissan Z, for exactly that reason. Sometimes, to some people, a car like this is worth every penny simply for its uniqueness and rarity. If it's unpopular now, everyone will be checking it out at every neighborhood car meet in just a few years since they rarely see one.
