That is a lot of work, I don't follow the M1's much but is there still "new stock" body panels to be bought from BMW? If its possible to get the parts then I would say it was a good buy. If you have to replace them with aftermarket parts then probably not.

Personally I think they are about equal. Both projected each ones own direction. The Veyron pushed the limits of engineering and top speed while meeting passenger car safety requirements, while the Tesla pushed electric car production. Personally I don’t think anyone can be declared as more “moon landing” than the

Please, you clearly are uneducated about the EV1 and about the industry in general if you think GM killed off the EV1 because it wasn’t “viable”. Want to talk about viable, why don’t you do some research about how profitable Tesla has been. Tesla is directly influenced by the EV1 and an evolution not this first coming

Exactly, this guy clearly knows nothing about electric car history and is just a Tesla fanboy without any knowledge of those who lead the way.

Sadly, for someone so in love with the though of electric cars you should know about the EV1. Praising Tesla like it is the first car to ever run on electricity does a huge disservice to those who poured their hearts into the EV1 program. The EV1 could go anywhere from 80-160 miles on a charge about 20 years ago.

If you think it was NOWHERE on the horizon before Tesla you should do a bit of research, like I said if you know electric car history the Model S was nothing more than an evolution.

If you know electric car history its not that impressive, it really should have been here much sooner.

I'm not sure how they thought these commercials would actually work. It is super hard to try to express that your vehicles are going "up market" or "better" without it being super corny and stupid like these turned out to be. I would have took the angle of maybe getting "old GM customers" and putting them in new

At least I give the Nissan some credit as they actually disguised the car and even an Altima being pushed by a racing driver on a track will be "fun" to regular people who have never even gone wot. In the Chevy one they are sitting in the car with the Chevy logo in full view on the steering wheel and then act shocked

As long as it depreciates at some point so I can pick one up, i’m fine with that.

Yep, I was going to buy one and just about every single one I looked at was rusting. These cars do not last long in the rust belt.

A Lexus performance car is a car that offers 80%+ of the performance while being 50% more reliable. Pretty simple Chris, did you just need something to write about? I also like how the Germans has gotten by with being better to drive, yet somehow you say that all that matters is the power-to-weight ratio on a car you

I love this, can't wait to see and hear more of it as the year goes on!

I don’t follow the art world much, I do draw as a hobby, so maybe things have changed but isn’t tracing frowned upon?

So have transmissions just become the Gillette of the automotive industry.

Doug, would it have different if they were there in person not over the phone?

I think we need to go deeper, what does he consider breakfast? Is breakfast the first meal of the day? If so I had a turkey sandwich at noon today.

lol, very true!

You never realize how much you take this part for granted until you turn your key and all you hear is a click.
