Well it doesn’t - I just think for us to now have three advisers to the queen (Jon, Jorah, Tyiron) be in love with her is a bit silly, so to focus on Tyrion’s feelings for her when he knows he doesn’t have a shot doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. But based on a breakdown of the script linked by another person here, I

Also, I have a really hard time believing Tyrion would make a secret deal with Cersei and betray Dany and everyone else. If he did, it would overturn all the character development we’ve seen so far, which has established that at heart, he is a good man.

Fair enough.

I think the Ghostbusters reboot taught us all that he has some real comedy chops. Which is super fair, considering he is also extremely handsome, tall, buff, and Australian.

The first thing I thought of while reading this was the scene in IW where Cap’s pushing back against Thanos’ fist, veins bulging, and he lets out that scream. It’s the same tenacious determination to stand up for what’s right.

I love this scene; it might be my favorite in the MCU. These movies are at their best when the characters play off each others strengths.

That doesn’t wash with me - Tyrion is too smart to think he has a shot with her, and there’s never been any indication of feelings from him otherwise. It strikes me as too easy an explanation. Plus, there’s Jorah’s jealousy of Jon, so to have both her closest advisors be jealous of Jon would be silly.

If Maisie had used a body double, there would have been full frontal, not just the angled side shot they used.

They’ve always had blue eyes!

A friend of mine thinks she’ll end up going full Mad King (Queen), and her reaction to both Sansa and Jon, not to mention the Tarlys and Tyrion, has me believing that more and more.

The moment Sam gave Jorah Heartsbane, I said my goodbyes.

Commented this separately, but what do you think is meant by the show’s lingering on Tyrion’s concerned looks at Dany and Jon’s interactions? The first was when he saw Jon go into her cabin aboard the ship back to Winterfell at the end of S7, and then when Jon spurned her after Jaime’s “trial.”

Nobody seems to be mentioning Tyrion’s concerned looks anytime there’s a heavy moment between Dany and Jon, whether it’s when they first hook up in her cabin aboard the ship back to Winterfell, or when he ghosts her after Jaime’s “trial” in the beginning of this episode.

Won’t work for me because I use my Xbox as a blu-ray player.

I didn’t think those existed.

It seems like he has to “look” for something before he can see it though. Remember, he didn’t know about Rheagar’s annulment and subsequent marriage to Lyanna until Sam told him about it, at which point he looked back to confirm it.

All jokes aside, Nikolaj Coster-Waldeau’s got some acting chops, man. The amount of emotion he displayed with a barely altered facial expression was really powerful to me.

I think they glazed over Jon’s reaction to his lineage because the audience was given its chance to react in the S7 finale, so why spend more time on the shock of it? It may have been a minor mistake, but I see why they did it when there is so much else to get done.

Yeah, but the baby was alive. Viserion was resurrected, which seems like an important distinction. But who knows.

Glad I’m not the only one having a tough time rooting for Dany and her cousin Jon’s romantic relationship.
