What makes you say that? If it is a fully functional AAC app, it could be immensely helpful to nonverbal individuals, including those with autism. From the one review I saw, this app does not look stable yet, but a fully functional AAC app would be competitive at that price, since it would allow an iPad or iPhone to

I did notice there is a lite version of TouchChat so people can try it out first, at least. Depending on the library included and ease of use, it might not be a terrible deal. Proloquo2Go, probably the most well known AAC app, is $219, and people very willingly pay for that. AAC devices run over $500 easily and have

The BCO family that put ranch in their tea opened a restaurant!

Twinkles go bad????

Thanks! Mine is nearly 16.

Sadly, not people in my grandma's generation. People my age and younger. I'm always the truth-teller, which makes me a fun party guest!

I hate those fake sites. I always look like the jerk on Facebook when I bust the bubble and tell people that their post is fake.

After getting this book from the school library, my son deliberately flooded the bathtub and ran naked through the halls of his school. His middle school. I forbade all subsequent teachers from even saying the name David in his presence. (My son has autism and functions academically on a Kinder level in tenth grade.)

When I lived in Waco/went to Baylor we were excited to get a Chilis.

My son with autism has done this. But he is low functioning and just really loves The Little Mermaid.

Don't forget Ted Cruz!

It is a total hit at parties, too.

It contains neither sopapillas nor cheesecake, but it is delicious and it is my go-to party/potluck dish. And it is super easy to make.

Having worked as a shopper, and seeing all the crazy shop instructions, I often thought being an editor or scheduler would be a special kind of hell. I used to shop a fast casual restaurant where I had to describe each food item with a 100 word minimum. Writing 100 words about Diet Coke is rough. Reading dozens of

I used to shop WFM. We were never given specific employees to shop—just a list of departments and we would pick two or three of them. I quit shopping them when it switched to shopping all six or seven departments—the report took too long to make it worth my time.

Yes. I've done mystery shopping on and off for several years to get free meals and some extra cash. The shop requirements are sometimes very picky. If I had the bad luck to hit the same employee twice, and when I got home to write the report realized I had goofed it, I might have done a similar thing. Although

She probably did that on purpose—she may have been required to shop two different people. If they didn't realize that until they got home, they may have deliberately changed the gender so they would still get paid for the shop.

As an autism mom, I thank you for your righteous anger.

As a special needs parent, thanks for this. Although I've been lucky (or totally oblivious), because my son is 15 and has moderate to severe autism. I can only recall 2-3 times we've gotten snide comments or dirty looks over the years, and I take him out with me everywhere.

As a lifelong Texan, I can assure you—yes, he's that much dumber.
