I’m sure you know this, but the movie was filmed in Santa Cruz, CA, which for a time in the 70s was the home to multiple serial killers, thus earning the murder capital moniker.
I love this movie, and I understand why they chose not to accurately portray the lions as maneless, but I am bummed out it didn’t end with them spending 25 years as Patterson’s (Val Kilmer’s) floor rugs like they did IRL.
The saturation only exists for those who subscribe to CBS All Access. I imagine that majority of the film revenue is due to casual fans that dig on Star Trek, but maybe not enough to subscribe to another streaming service just for it.

I was a little surprised at how much I enjoyed the first season. I didn’t expect it to be horrible or anything but I also did not expect to rewatch it right away. It’s so short it’s almost like a super sized F&F movie but with better villains.
