Well you demonstrated that you understand how the felony murder charge is used but didn’t demonstrate that this was a perversion of the spirit of the law. You made it sound as though this charge was reasonable and normal. Normal it may be; reasonable it ain’t.

That’s rather the point. It’s at the point where they’re charging people for shit the police did in the ultimate FU to people. They’re bending and twisting the law to excuse any responsibility from teh people who actually have training and ought to know better than just lighting up random goddamn cards. They’re

Women who were molested or assaulted when young tend to defend misogynists and predators as a form of defense mechanism. And also see gross sexual behavior by men as inevitable and normal. Like, if women are on the natural “losing” team by being the prey, superior women will be on the “winning” team of the predators:

Everybody needs to go to jail.

I get the rationale they’re using to charge the two boys. My point, which you seem to have missed, is that they are stretching the felony murder laws in order to heap blame on someone who was nowhere near the shooting the cops did because they are shit at their jobs. Meanwhile, they’re doing nothing about the fact

Factor into that rationale the fact that only about 30% of bullets fired by police actually hit their target and it becomes incredibly clear to any reasonable person that the police are given far too much leeway to use their firearms in the first place.

No, they didn’t, and that’s the problem. They’re trying to treat a situation where everyone was wrong in some way to some degree as though only one side can be blamed for the consequences of events.

And yet, they didn’t choose to do this.

This. ^^

Just to be really fucking clear here, this is the rationale from the DA:

Well that certainly doesn’t sound like it could be abused!

In your example the accomplice was actually at the robbery. The cops decided to shoot 25 times at a car without bothering to ascertain if it was at all related to the shots fired in the fucking first place. That’s is complete disregard for whoever is in the car. These kids have enough to deal with regarding the fact

I wonder how the prosecutor’s Rube Goldberg view of the universe works.”

There is no “bright side” pertaining to this situation.

You have left out the third current meaning of the phrase “Critical Race Theory.” There’s what you could call “Traditional CRT,” which, being a theory, mainly resides in books, the authors of books in question being Bell, Crenshaw, Williams, Delgado & Stefancic’s textbook, and so on. Then you have “Fox News CRT,”

Look at this headline from the Philadelphia Inquirer:

“Very simple” my ass. This is some butterfly-flaps-its-wings magical thinking shit.

That’s some butterfly effect legal bullshit.

Which is why Black people are STILL just talking the same sense as always, and white people continue to get stupider, angrier, more hateful, more ignorant, and just generally shittier.

‘Critical Race Theory’ was always just the fuel to get the fire going. Now polls say 40% of Republicans oppose teaching of any race history. At all. And that’s the 40% of Republicans who are willing to say it.
