The vaccines only prevents most people from getting deathly ill or outright dying. That’s EXACTLY what they were designed to do. And it’s not, nor are any vaccines, 100% effective.

The “rush” is at least a decade old. There has been work on a vaccine for coronavirus for at least that long, which is why the latest vaccines seem to have been so rapidly produced. Sure - there was a rush for this variant, but that’s built on a significant research in creating this type of vaccine.

Also the CPS officer in this case has been under investigation for being both overzealous and sloppy. In one case, she had a newborn pulled and the parents charged with abuse based on injuries that had actually occurred during birth and had been documented. She didn’t review the medical records at any time. 

The last few months, seeing Rev. Jackson so actively involved with Poor People’s Campaign, Moral Mondays the Push Coalition and voting rights groups; marching, speaking, getting arrested, I was very concerned that, with his health challenges, he would end up in worse shape.

Vaccines are like adding smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Smoke detectors and fire extinguishers don’t prevent fires, they let you get to the fire before it gets out of control. Likewise the vaccine sets up a warning system for the immune system to react to the virus before it gets out of control.

I'm good...got both shots with no negative side effects. What's  distressing is 3 people I know tested positive even after getting vaccinated. Not reassuring!

Hopefully they got both shots too.  I also hope they only got hospitalized out of caution and not because of anything serious.

The vaccine is pretty much doing all it was designed to do, and that’s to get the body to defend itself against the variant of COVID that it was designed for. That’s why mutations and variants of COVID are a problem.
