His commenters are equally as horrible if not worse. For a shocking, racist, and stomach-turning example, here's his recent post about the incident in Seattle where the police office punched a 7-year old: [perezhilton.com] Read the comments, if you can bear it. I feel uncomfortable that these people live in the same…
@xodallas: Plus, anytime he actually brings up a relevant social issue and I click on the comments to see what people are saying (for instance, the incident in Seattle recently where the police office punched a 17-year old) I am HORRIFIED by how racist, ignorant, stupid, and violent people are. Love her forever. Dying for the new album.
I never thought Jon Stewart would be tarnished in my eyes. But there's just too much evidence here to ignore... Oh, Jon! Please explain!
I remember being shocked as a young girl in Louisiana to hear about a woman who had died while straddling her shifter... while on the expressway. That one has stuck with me...
Well, maybe just as Palin's special brand of "anti-feminism" feminism was a slap in the face of all women actually fighting for the advancement of women for decades, there will be a surprise in several years for these "mama grizzly" conservatives. Maybe making a woman's face more and more common, recognizable, and…
I hate to say this because I am actually in support of at least having a public health care option, but this is one of the downsides to a state-run system.
My husband and I go back to France, where his family lives still, a couple times a year. All his friends and most of his family smokes. And I mean *everyone*. It is absolutely terrible for me, as an ex-smoker. There have been several times in the past that I had quit, but after being around all those people smoking,…
Not to mention other forms of birth control (like the Ring, which I am currently using), that are much more expensive and harder to get anyway.
It was bound to happen.
@Friday: haha, it totally does. Maybe because it's usually what guys do? Whatever the case may be, it is definitely effective!
I picked a fight with the boy I liked by telling him I thought Kurt Cobain was a sell-out (I obvs don't). He was *pissed*. It totally worked as he ignored everyone else, "fought" with me for an hour or so, and then ended up in his bedroom... fucking to Nirvana's "Come as you are." Ah, freshman year...
@screwtapeletters: Larger sizes are harder to find, but there is definitely a lot of variety out there! Don't give up! Coats seem to be especially available, and 1950's coats are to die for!
When I worked at J Crew, the most bizarre requirement they had was that, if you were wearing a skirt, it had to be either with bare legs or opaque stockings. Seriously. That was the it. I enjoyed working there.
@twisted_martini: Here's my list so far. Be sure to let me know if I forgot anything: 1. Utah - new Miscarriage law
Bullshit. 5 times a day? Every day? 7 days a week? Not physically possible, Mel B. Not at all. Unless they're 5 min quickies... and then I'm not sure I would want to brag about that.
BUY VINTAGE!!! You will be amazed by the quality of a 1950's union-made in America garment. Not to mention, it's reusing! Plus, all the trends are recycled now anyway. Anything you see on the runway, give me 10 mins and I'll find a picture of the original from 1890-1990.
