Amazing how some people think their inane bullshit is more important than your actual experience as a sex worker.

Another one I’ve met was going through school for a degree in interior design and was using the money to pay her way without debt. Yet another worked as a dental hygienist but enjoyed sex work more. One of the women who runs the place? Used to work in a day care. None of them were drug users and even prohibited drugs

Well thank you! I appreciate that quite a bit.

I kinda have to be, at 5’6” it’s not like I tower over all the women.

Oh. You’re one of those. Thanks for clearing that up. No more responses from me to you.

Have you ever actually met any of them? I have. Several different, lovely women, all of them different, lovely human beings. One of them was working as a sex worker to pay her way through college, support her son, and get away from drugs and an abusive relationship. She works at an all-female place run by a pair of

Have you actually met or talked to a sex worker? Ever? I have. Fascinating people who get into it for all different reasons.

Nope, try again.

I’m not sure where I said that there aren’t many victims of trafficking out there. Please, point that out to me. I was pointing out that not all sex workers are trafficked, but not all =/= none or not many.

No, they’re not. Some make the free choice to participate in this work because they enjoy it, not because they are coerced into it. That doesn’t mean that many aren’t victims of trafficking or coercion, but there is a significant sector of sex workers who do what they do because they enjoy it.

Absolutely. They all deserve protection.

“I’m not a Nazi, but Hitler had some good ideas.”
“I’m not sexist, but women belong in the kitchen.”
“I’m not a Redskins fan, but the name is totally not racist because [stupid reasons].”
“I’m not anti-science, but the earth is only 5000 years old.”

Yes, but not all sex workers are trafficked.

I’ve heard that. One of the reasons I chose The Matrix was that it didn’t seem written specifically for any gender or ethnic background.

Would these people identify as geeks, though?

Did I say anyone owed an explanation to me as to why? No. I’d be curious as to why I was rejected but I don’t ask and it doesn’t matter ultimately. I don’t think rejecting someone for their height is great but that’s their choice.

One of the first women I was seriously interested in dating was a tall, broad woman. Very sweet, kind, funny, but built like a brick. Didn’t matter to me and still wouldn’t. I never asked her out because I had no confidence in myself at the time, but I do think men need to get over their insecure shit.

Geeks are “popular” but not always so in dating pools. For instance, I essentially live in what I like to call “Texas North” and the women here are all about oilfield guys, trucks, “quading” and outdoors stuff. Generally the women amenable to geeks are few and far between and usually already hooked up (though not
