You don’t get to be in F1 without being a very good driver. But there are hundreds of very good drivers who will never be F1 World Champion caliber. Bottas is one of them.

It was maybe the greatest racing car in its day, but the current Mercedes would run circles around it.

I get what you’re saying, but my argument is that this is the pinnacle of motorsport, and cars are likely going to be slower than this, perhaps for a very long time. 

If I could buy that and get an additional 10-15K miles out of it before things start falling like dominos, Like using it on the weekends to go hunting, or a trip to the lake for camping in the summer. And the occasional trip to Lowes or our lumber yard. It would last me a good 3-5 years and would be money well spent.…

these things will for sure nickel and dime ya - but if you can wrench yourself, they’re cheap and easy and far better choice than any Jeep of the same price or vintage.

Someone told me about this. Haven’t had a chance to use it, but will come in handy during winter repairs.

Have one more car than you actually need if you are going to DIY everything.
