I'm pretty sure it was proven in the past that remote play even for PS3 titles just required that a switch be flipped for titles to be playable. If that remains the case for PS4 games, I can't imagine that it would require that much more effort to implement.

If it's not alluding to a future remake, these mentions in XY of the various regions made the pokemon world feel a lot more connected. The world truly feels like a community.
