Dunno. There are things that are downright depressing, but I felt the message in Anohana was incredibly uplifting. Dealing with loss is sad yes, but it doesn't have to be depressing, and this is a prime example of that. It does contain lots of feels for sure, the uplifting bits trump the depressing.
