Yesterday I almost had a Model 3 drive into me (he missed only because I noticed and got out of the way) because the driver was looking at the screen instead of the road (trying to turn on autopilot?). He came up the ramp, and went directly across two lanes before realizing he wasn’t paying attention and swerving back

This was my take as well. Recommend away, but she’s female, loves to hike, and has a dog... she’s getting an Outback.  Just be done with that.

A decent condition, low-mile Element can be had for $10k. Great for hiking, camping and transporting dogs and baked goods. Also a pretty good city car.

Fun fact: gold has about the same density as tungsten, 19.3 kg/L.

This slideshow format is garbage. I’ve stuck with Jalopnik for a long time, and Tom, David, and Torch are primary reasons why.

But making articles into slideshows to generate more ad views is going to be a REAL quick way to kill a lot more ad views, myself included.

I hope the Herb up top hears this, but probably not.

Dude, for the 2nd time in less than 2 weeks, BMW is in Spartanburg, SOUTH CAROLINA, which doesn’t even border Alabama. They’re like 200 miles apart, at least, border to border.

Only Mercedes-Benz builds in AL, and Toyota has an engine plant. You were corrected in the last article...listen!

The new C8 also doesn’t look like a white-trash-mobile.

You nean the GT-H? That was actually a special model, in collaboration with Shelby, as opposed to these stockers that had a collaboration with a paint booth?

even though those cars only have 20kish miles on them, those are some hard miles.

This man’s suggestion, all day long.

This is a good recommendation.

Do we like the Ford Flex? To me it belongs in the same garage as the PT Cruiser, “new” Beetle, and “new” Thunderbird.  Change my mind?

06. 140k. $8k near Seattle.

I agree with Tom, but suggest a step up to a Saabaru 9-2x AWD manual trans. this one also has around 60k miles and is way below budget.

Ahem. Sure about that ugliest you have ever seen thing?

I’m sorry, that’s the most god awful ugly truck I’ve ever seen. It looks like it was put together using pieces from a JC Whitney catalog, and the rest of it from the dumpster behind AutoZone. I couldn’t find a single redeeming angle on this thing.

The obvious answer is Subaru Whatever, but I get that’s the boring choice for New England and lacking the character required. So my suggestion is a 2005 Merc E500 4MATIC Wagon. It’s only $5k which will leave you the other 5k to cover a couple of months of maintenance! Perfect!.

Consider me concerned.

Kristen seeing you continue to post here warms the heart.  Tell Fancy we all say hi

Welcome, this is the first “good” news we’ve had around here in quite a while! Looking forward to the quality of writing improving as you get on board!

If you do happen to read this... I don’t want to get all herb-like and say stick to sports, but just in my personal opinion this place could stand to do with a lot less
