A lot of the Frontline documentaries on terrorism and the conflicts in the Middle East show graphic imagery like beheadings and murders. When I show students the documentaries I pre-watch them and skip over the gruesome stuff. I get so sad when they get upset with me! “We’re not watching a beheading.” WHY…

Yes. I had a young student pass away. I walked up to the casket and I regret it so much. I hate that I remember her that way instead of the sweet little girl that she was.

Agreed. I didn’t post about it *immediately* but when my dad died, I wanted the people who loved him to know, but I also couldn’t pick up the phone and say the words.

I agree, somewhat. I remember my students telling me a few years ago that “Facebook is for grown ups” but I also think Facebook had a lot to do with that since it has changed so dramatically from what it started out as.

Just this morning on the news they said something about, “When we come back—what the president JUST TWEETED” and I said out loud to myself, “We live in a dumb time.”

I didn’t know any of that so I looked it up.

Oh I didn’t know any of that. I missed like the whole middle part of the past 30 seasons. I just knew they kept talking about the “dirtiest players” for this season and those two came to mind.

I wondered whatever happened to Kenny and Evan. They definitely should have been cast in Dirty 30.

Oh, no, she will most definitely go mousy brown before trial. They’ll give her the ol’ Owen Labrie treatment.

But it’s school. Nobody is coming by on the weekend or during the summer to give them food. I also provide students with pens and paper. Funny they never call my house expecting me to give it to them for the rest of their lives.

Baltimore also does this. And while it is needed and important, I have never once seen a meal as well-rounded, bright and appetizing as that lead picture. I wish with all my heart my students got that much food.

And isn’t that what gets people into relationship trouble to begin with? We see our current partner with all their flaws and we see this one new shiny person and the good quality we see in them shines brighter. Maybe boom mike guy bought a house without his wife knowing too. Maybe he didn’t go to old wife’s art show…
