A Triple Shy of the Cycle

It’s sad that I’m so proud of Ben for dating a woman in her late 30s.

I somehow found my way to this while it was happening, and other people said they had been there while a naked baby ran around and it was weird. The owner went totally crazy town and it was weird. #TeamReviewer

I have 2 masters degrees, I believe I can challenge her to a duel.

She’s a white girl with a Thug Life bitmoji. I bet she has all types of cool thoughts and opinions. /s

Yep. I am not in love with the Shape of Him.

I’m a teacher, and this is a huge problem in education, too. It’s not that teachers unions completely protect us from being fired, it’s that administrators are often so lazy or scared of having to prove their point about a bad performance that they just say someone is good and keep it moving. Then when someone

YESSSS. I remember that college kid who shot those people in California and he had a whole manifesto about how hot girls didn’t treat him right and it was all their fault. Women say, “What’s wrong with me?” and men say, “What’s wrong with you?”

It’s the Republican “everything he did was fine until he came for me and mine” logic.

My dad coached my brother for years and when my brother went into high school, the little league president asked my dad to stay on and continue coaching. My dad said, “only if you give me a team of orphans. I can’t deal with these parents anymore.”

I did the official scoring for my brother’s youth baseball games. Umps made $20 a game, which was good money as a teenager. But I also saw them get hit, slammed into walls and threatened over some T-ball, so maybe not worth it.

And have you been reading about the sheriff out of Decatur? Apparently there’s a law from the 1930's that says any money designated for jail food but not spent goes directly the sheriff, to use how they please. It’s in the paper all the time and how is no one freaking out.

This! Also, as someone with a family full of addiction, I know it changes people. Maybe he’s been a shitbird his whole life, but didn’t his ex come out on his side when the abuse allegations happened? Yes, a lot of it is no one wanting to believe a woman, but it also could be that he’s a whole different person now

Yes! I have so many conflicting feelings about this situation, but that is something I keep coming back to. This crime was heinous, yes. He did it as a child and has been in therapy. If there’s some type of character clause, what’s acceptable and what’s not?

I taught a student who molested some younger kids. My thought process was similar—he was a kid, too. Also, this might not apply to Heimlich, but my student was also molested as young child. Where’s the line in the sand in between, “No, you’re forever punished” and “You just need help”?

What I see a lot of conservatives—my whole family, neighbors, high school friends—is a complete inability to see beyond their own circumstances. They just seem unable to put themselves “in someone else’s shoes” or even think that someone else’s life (and opportunities, resources, education, family history) may be

I teach high school. Fanny packs have BEEN back.

From the headline, my first thought was,

And it was an old lady! Sheesh! I mean, It’s not okay to body shame anybody but what’s a senior citizen supposed to look like, exactly?

*stands up at podium, clears throat*

I’m Cueto coming in 5 minutes late acting like I’ve been there the whole time.
