I teach middle school social studies in Baltimore. Every year during the Civics unit, I hear the most horrific stories. Kids who don’t normally pay attention in class sit up and take notice. “Wait, the cops can’t (fill in the blank human rights violation)?”

I have a lot of issues with this, namely people deciding she was stopping him from rioting and not stopping him from being murdered by all those police officers.

We’re sitting in standstill traffic and some asshole keeps blowing his horn. My grandpa gets out of the car, motions to the guy and yells, “Go around!!!”

I worked in a hotel—checking in guests and taking phone reservations. Once, we were super busy and there was a line to check in. This man finally gets up to the counter, looks at my nametag and loudly proclaims, “You sound way hotter on the phone.”

My old boss told me not to pick up heavy boxes because I “needed to get pregnant someday.” ?????
