Haha, thanks. I teach in Baltimore, so its not even regular teaching. It's like partial teaching, partial parenting, partial counseling, partial policing. I earn every cent. Nobody is waiting in line to take my job and most people couldn't do it and wouldn't try.

Where I work the teachers don't get to pick the novels they assign. And people at the district are obsessed (unnecessarily in my mind) with being "relevant." I think it is insulting to the children that, oh, Hunger Games and Divergent are popular, so we have to read that to get their attention.
