I never got any kind of feelings between Katniss and Gale, either! I thought he kissed her in the last book because he only realized he wanted her when she was going for someone else. When everyone started talking about Team Peeta or Teem Gale, I was so confused because I had never even seen a hint of a love triangle.

You and me both.

Honestly, I'd see if you can get in with a therapist somehow. See if your insurance (if you have it) can cover part or all of the costs, or see if you live near a school that offers discounted students giving counseling. Being aware of your problem is a huge step towards addressing an issue, and talking with

Do you blog at all? Even just a one-time guest post to someone else's blog? Written a letter to the editor type thing to refute something? Ever written for a school paper or the yearbook? I would count all of these things. Remember—it's less about what you wrote so much as how you can show that it involved effort and

I love Scottish folds. They look perpetually bewildered and I think it's adorable. I really want one, but I don't feel comfortable adopting a cat from a breeder when the shelters are always full. Maybe someday I'll get lucky and there will be one in the shelter when I can adopt another cat!

Families have been shitty to each other since long before hipsters or the Internet. I love traditions, but greatly dislike my family, and a lot of people feel the same way (or the exact opposite way). It's a hard choice between which one to give up for the sake of the other, and you feel bad no matter what you

Well, the wine today helped me to keep the peace at dinner by not calling out my boyfriend's father and grandfather on their asshole holier-than-thou elitism, so I'm going with "no, there's no problem wine can't solve."

Aaaaand you get a heart! <3

I've always wondered that, too. Maybe it's based on how much the jury would like to receive were they in that position.

Maybe because Thanksgiving is a day to indulge ourselves and rejoice in our blessings, one of which is our abundance of food. Or maybe it's a celebration of traditions, both those found in families and those found in regional subcultures, not all of which make sense or are healthy, as is the case with many traditions

I am so upset I didn't know this existed. I had so much SM crap, and it all mysteriously vanished when we moved states between seventh and eighth grades. I was, and remain, angry at my mother for this crime against my childhood. I'll now be scouring Ebay for this!

I have them and they are EXCELLENT! Seriously, I've been making myself read them suuuupper sllooowwwww (and I can never deny myself anything) because this is like reliving the best part of my childhood and I know I'm going to be crushed in a way when I'm done. I'm only on volume five right now.

I have tons of favorite poems! This is one I pretty much have memorized, though, since I've read it so much.

I've been unemployed for a month, now. It's the first time I've been out of a job since I was 17. (Now 24.) Unemployment is mostly pretty awesome, but I miss having pocket money and it occured to me that I will probably be spending Christmas in my boyfriend's parents' basement. :(

The best part of this article is all the angry comments about how it's sexist. <3 forever, Erin!

I have to agree with you. The women who tend to grow their hair out that long tend to not put in the insane amount of extra work it takes to keep up with that much hair. Plus, wearing hair down when it's that long rarely looks good, even on people who do tend to take care of it. Long hair is a lot more work and effort

You know, the more I actually read what she says, the more I like Kristen Stewart.

I think you used to, a couple decades ago. My mom sold her blood in college. Thanks to the Red Cross, I don't think anyone gets paid anymore. (Not saying this is a bad thing!)

Lipizzaners! I was obsessed with them for a brief period in childhood, near the end of my horse craze. They are pretty fantastic. Now I will be spending a chunk of my day on youtube looking at dressage.

I'm getting a heavy ME3 vibe, too, mostly in the way the characters walk out of their ship.
