Dude. It’s not racist to not know the lyrics to a song. It is pretty racist to hear a woman of color singing something other than “proper English” and assuming it’s not even language.

I don’t read her as blaming the young woman, but I do read her as suggesting that the young woman is still with the man because she has a problem, not the dude. My dad’s Jamaican, and many visits to the island when I was younger when I couldn’t make out what people were saying to me, “I don’t know what you said. Can you repeat that.” And they would laugh it off (and at me) and repeat what they said with less slang or slower.
