Yay! If there are any other books you're trying to remember, check out what's that book. I was tearing my hair out trying to remember that chimp book I also posted—all my googling skills were for naught. And then I posted on that site and within 24 hours, someone had my answer!

Awww...that's kind of adorable.

And I know way too much for a girl who doesn't sleep with penis-havers.

So...it sounds like your definition of sex is penis-in-vagina. Which is fine, but y'know, but lots of people's standards, you have had sex. Just certain kinds of sex. Maybe thinking about it differently will take some of the pressure off and make it easier to find a dude for PIV?

Actually, no! The whole point of the extra room at the head is to increase sensation (looser head means more friction means more sensation). We had similarly designed condoms at my workplace and lots of folks liked them. Also helpful for mushroom-shaped guys (i.e. they have a large head) when regular condoms feel

I'd like to think that Sagegirl's husband actually watched lesbian porn, but I very much doubt it. I suspect that what he watched was actually girl-girl porn.

Also, I never got into Nancy Drew, but I LOVED Trixie Belden. In retrospect, it may have had a lot to do with her close relationship with her BFF, Honey. Ahem.

I read a lot of those, too! I was pretty obsessed with Anne of Green Gables. ♥

God, this is the best thread ever and I need to bookmark it so I have a reference.

Yes! I LOVED this book!

I was OBSESSED. I had all the books in a box set, which I read and reread and reread. I had books that Rose wrote. I went to 2 of the homes she lived in (pretty easy to do since I lived in MN). I had memorabilia souvenirs from those homes.

I loved, loved, loved that book—Kit is a fantastic hero. I think partially because the cover illustration of Hannah reminded me of my own grandma, who was also exceedingly kind and wise. And now I'm all verklempt.

Many Waters got me right during my early adolescence and I was convinced that "many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it" was like the most deepest, profoundest, beautifullest thing ever. I still kinda get emotional when I see it.

ALSO!

"executive producer Tim Minear"

The first season scared the everlovin' crap out of me, but I enjoy that sort of thing in movies/teevee. The second season was more gory and creepy and fucked up than scary. Also, for me personally, I enjoy scary more than gory, so there are definitely horror films that I won't watch or don't enjoy because of that.

She got kicked out of this awesome club for being an appropriating dumbass who wears hipster headdresses.

I almost always get goosebumps during that rap. SO powerful!

I had a coworker bring their basset into work once. She was so adorable and sweet and charming, I was like "bring her to work EVERY DAY!!!"

I feel ya. I've sprained my left ankle badly twice and not-so-badly probably a dozen times. It is NOT a fun feeling and at this point, I navigate all downward-sloping terrain like a 90-year-old lady with brittle bone disease because I'm so scared of doing it again.
