I don't think you can really compare the two. True Blood is deliberately over-the-top and campy, whereas Game of Thrones is much more serious epic historical fantasy.

People always seem to forget that pitties are TERRIERS. I lovelovelove pits, but I know I'm probably not a good match for one because of their energy and smarts (I lean toward the big, kinda dumb, kinda lazy types). I would never get a Jack Russell for similar reasons.
