He appears to be Dutch, with the yellow license plate and the steering wheel on the leftside of the car. Also Holland isn’t that far away.

I will walk away immediately from the entire dealership if I read a description like that.

Googling “Super Scout Midnightstar” brings up several with those louvers, so it must have been a real thing back then.

You are right. Until now a loud car is officially not allowed but you will only get a ticket for it if you drive like an idiot.

Here a completely stock V6 Mustang is officially already too loud for the authorities. So more attention from law enforcement would be a threat for the entire American-car scene

In America maybe yes... But here there are not too many around, certainly not making this amount of noise.

According to the Dutch registry (RDW) he is allowed to produce 74 dB while driving. So the police will likely revoke his license plate and order a re-test by the authorities when they catch him.

Thanks Michael. Your replies, combined with info I already got from Kristen, mean a great deal to me and it’ll help me do what I want to do. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. Allthough payment is not the reason I do this.

Yeah, I did find it to be more of a shout box than a place to post decent articles. But that doesn’t stop me from publishing my stories.

Thanks Michael. Do I need to pitch it with you up front, or can I do this after writing / publishing on OppositeLock? Does it need to be a lengthy investigation or can I pitch any kind of article?

Thanks Michael. So do I need to do this before I write an article, or can I write the article, then publish it on OppositeLock and pitch it with you?

Hey guys, I’ve just taken up writing articles on OppositeLock. What would be the best way to get an article from me to be published on Jalopnik?

I wish I’d known that the head gasket of 94/95 V6 Mustangs were made out of paper, that would have saved me from a costly repair.

In 2016 there was a test with truck platooning in the Netherlands, where six of the seven manufacturers worked together. Since most American and European truck brands are mixed (DAF = Paccar, Freightliner = Mercedes, Volvo = Volvo) I expect there is a great deal of corporation between the different brands.

Exactly, there seems to be a leftside mirror. Where a righthand drive car would have a passengerside mirror.

It appears it does have the passenger-side mirror in your photo

I am really from Europe ;-) I was writing from an American perspective, as this is an American forum. The question was what American cars there are for Europeans to buy, which we can’t buy already. So mentioning the Fiesta or Ka+ is not in scope.

I was talking from an American perspective. I am living in Europe and own a 08 Focus and a 18 Fiesta, so well aware of the European Fords.

Haha, I never expected to be COTD with my question... It was a serious one. I was a bit worried about the respons, becoming COTD is the opposite :-)
