Fuck’s sake. Musk is the reverse of a cult of personality. His value is in what he does, not who he is. If you think “his primary achievement has been amassing wealth”, then you’re either an idiot or being purposely oblique.

The implication: All it takes to be an entertainer is some stupid attitudes and relentless self-marketing, because the only performance that really matters is the demonstration of power.

My fanwank on this is that the copies kept in Cerebro aren’t exact. They’re colored by Charles’ perceptions of them and his desire for them to be happy. Cyke always believed in The Dream so Chuck shoots a more pure version of that into the the new egg clone.

if anything this article is appreciating the subtle shade that Cook is throwing, and its tone on Epic is completely neutral?

I hope that Nightcrawler has his moral boundaries intact by the end of this mni series. My favorite X-Man character overall. I didn’t love his “exile” in Excalibur for the late 80s and 90s but I’m glad that it allowed him to eventually become a leader. As of 2021 there are several newer teleporting characters who are

My main issue with the new status quo is that Cyke’s characterization only makes sense if Xavier had lobotomized him.

The only one that I would actually call BAD was the Psylocke focused ‘Fallen Angels’ mini series.
For such a simple plot it was so poorly paced and all over the place in terms of tone.
Also, the art wasn’t just bad, it was also incomprehensible at times.

Yeah, Precogs not being resurrected is an edict laid down by Moira, and not one that is known by the general mutant population. In this issuesomeone asks Kurt why no precogs have been resurrected and his reponse is an unconvincing (and unconvinced) “there’s a long line...”

I think the age of these game industry groups is over. Freelance and the youtuber/twitch route has proved to be successful for many in the industry, and the idea of having a traditional publication with multiple reviewers seems archaic.

What’s worked for me is focusing on X-men, which tends to focus on the big power moves for Krakoa, and then picking up books based on whichever characters, writers, or artists interest me, which currently includes New Mutants, Cable, X-Corp, and Way of X. I was a little lost when X of Swords picked up because it was

That sounds familiar yeah. Kurt’s the only one questioning this and it’s on religious, not logical grounds? Methinks Prof. X is removing all the pesky crenulations from the mutant brains...

I’ve been having a bit of the same problem as well. I’ve read some of Mauraders and New Mutants and both are fun but not life changing, and then I keep up to date on the main X-Men book. It was slow to start and there are the occasional off issues (issue 4 is the first great issue, and the next 10 or so issues I would

And wasn’t it mentioned somewhere that precog mutants couldn’t be resurrected? You think that would make people stop and think.

‘Most of the mutant population has embraced this new status quo with open arms’

So I read powers/house of x and loved it (hadn’t read an X-men comic since Morrison’s run) but I’m not sure how to go forward from there? It just seems like there’s too much. Does anyone have a suggestion of what is worth reading or what’s not ?

The new X-Men are a-holes, and Kurt can feel it in his bones.

On the other hand, he doesn’t believe in tipping, so there’s that.

Yeah, not knowing what the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is, is not something to brag about. It’s one of the best charities in the world. They’ve done more the near eradication of malaria than any government or charity in the world.

This. Whatever he’s like personally, his foundation - which, Jesus, Jezebel, do some research before you casually dismiss the Gates Foundation - has done an incredible amount to transform living conditions in the developing world.

LOL.  China is very large.  China has very large distances between cities.  Some sprawling metro areas in China are the size of Rhode Island.  China also has an excellent rail system for moving people between cities. But there are those that don’t live in cities and they have some mighty fine roads to drive.
