To completely answer that question you would have to know how much content is deleted each day as well. I would imagine at least a few percent of that 500 TB is deleted a day as well. Still, it is a VERY large amount of storage. They probably buy servers at a time rather than individual HDDs.

As terrible as this is, I agree. There are plenty of developers out there that want to make the best game possible, but for everyone of of them, there are 10 others than are willing to do what ever the publishers expects to sell the game.
