@Marand: Not trolling, just trying to explain why some sites may turn a blind eye to Desktop Linux.

@woodson.dan: The Mac has a helpful and supportive message board community as well.

@Marand: To be fair the number of active users of all the desktop Linux distributions combined is still relatively small.

@pixelsnader: I don't see any transparency in that screenshot.

@The SmacK: How did you get transparency on XP when it lacked a sophisticated 2D compositing engine?

@animeman59: I think Google could certainly look at the licensing.

@OgilvyTheAstronomer: I agree, it was a rather charitable interpretation. As you say, rather than any great display of discretion by AT&T, a more credible explanation is that Apple simply won't let them.

@mrsilver: "Open to handset manufacturers" wasn't the dream we were sold with Android and it certainly isn't what most Android enthusiasts evangelise.

@Mex: Not a chance!

@kiwijaws: I don't have an iPhone. I don't have a smart phone. Still waiting…

I've noticed how good things about Android are put down to "Android", whereas bad things about Android are always the fault of the vendor, or the carrier, or someone else.

I think we'll see a demo of whatever fix they have planned. That's the way you get people to believe it will work.

This actually put me off Android.

@brilldoctor: Nothing is "wrong" with the business market, I think it is a simply a case of manufacturers knowing where the money is in the consumer electronics market.

@jsora13: Well of course people can get an Archos.

@mecha2142: Key word there being plans. Google haven't delivered anything yet (nor has Apple). So I don't see how either party is late.

@phiyuku: You haven't posted the follow up video when he gets the phone bill! That's one of the main problems. These calls are rarely covere by your inclusive voice minutes. Video costs extra. Often a lot extra.

@iElvis: Is it fair to blame Verizon though? I mean to them (the network) the Kin uses data just like any other smartphone, whether it be a Droid or a Blackberry.

@Clashwerk: You can't run a business wasting millions (or billions in the case of XBOX and the 360) which you will *never* make back in the hope one day it might be profitable.
