Wow. We make our HIGH SCHOOLERS keep track of their own passports, and tell their parents in no uncertain terms that if the kid isn’t independent enough to do so, an overseas trip probably isn’t right for them at this time. I’m floored that came up in COLLEGE.

Yeah I want an RV someday too, and if I could have one that doubled as a bug-out vehicle, all the better. I’m not so worried about the exterior though. My hope is that by the time I can afford one, it will be a lot more environmentally friendly, thus reducing the need for it to double as a bug-out vehicle.

During the 2007 primaries, Bill Clinton packed the house deep in East Texas, and he was definitely short on support there while he was president. There is (was) some kind of prestige/magic that came with meeting a president or former president, even if you disagreed with them. So yes, this is new territory.
