You are just not getting it. The people impacted by the hurricane are not Republicans. I’m not going to say Texas is purple by any means, but Houston, and Fort Bend Counties are decidedly blue. Corpus swung a little red in the last election, but it still less conservative than most places, and I’m willing to bet…

Yeah. Rita is exactly why Houston officials don’t want to evacuate. More people died in traffic than in this storm so far.
