Situational awareness is safety 101 stuff, armed or unarmed.

I don’t require a firearm every day, just as I don’t require a fire extinguisher or first aid kit every day. Having one available does not mean its use is constantly required.

Carrying a gun doesn’t mean relying on it as the first or only tool to use. That was the point of my original comment.

It tells women how to take care of themselves and their cars, and reminds them to always carry a gun.

Fun fact, the QE2 encountered a 98-foot rogue wave in the North Atlantic back in ‘95. Supposedly survived by “surfing” it diagonally.

Can it handle 50 foot swells? I’m sure it can, but can it handle 50 foot swells every week for years or decades? I’m not so sure.

My mistake, I meant Queen Mary 2.

You’re right, I meant Queen Mary 2!

Titanic was a trans-atlantic ocean liner, not a cruise ship.

It’s absolutely true.

The only person who can cause emotional distress to me, is myself.

Not for emotional harm, no. Physical harm, sure.

While I agree with the sentiment behind your argument, if she feels like she needs to sell the bike because she can’t mentally deal with knowing that someone might hit her at a stop light, what’s that worth?

Yeah, move the decimal point a couple places. $150k should be more than enough to cover the cost of his bike, hospital visit/x-rays/bone setting/casts, and enough left to cover work leave for 2-3 months during recovery. $15m is ridiculous.

My gf owns a 2007 Legacy and she thinks it’s gorgeous. She loves the hell out of it. *shrug*

The 2A is there for resisting said government officials shooting people with impunity.

There’s a reason most cops don’t even bother to pull out of the median when a sport bike blows past at triple digits.

I was going to comment about checking to make sure the cross traffic was all fully stopped before proceeding through the intersection, but the motorcyclist’s vision was blocked by the white SUV in the far left turning lane. Bad situation to be in all around, due to lack of visibility.

I had the same car but a ‘93 model year. It was amazingly fun. Got 28mpg highway cruising at 80mph.

All the more reason that Economics 101 should be a mandatory high school class. No student should graduate high school without knowing precisely what interest is and how to calculate it.
