I actually saw a HD pickup towing a two-level, 5-car trailer yesterday.

A brand new F-450 could already physically tow 40,000lbs at highway speeeds. It would slow to a crawl up a modest grade though, and be out of control on the down grades.

80,000lbs is the normal cap for GCW in most states, so if the truck weighs 10,000lbs by itself, it only needs to tow 70k.

At this rate, in 10 years we’ll see Ford/Chevy/Dodge pickups being used instead of Freightliners/Kenworths/Peterbilts.

Who needs wealth & family when you can be perfectly happy and fulfilled with video games?

I bought a 1987 Z24 Cadavalier, not unlike this one:

Just because you think trump is a racist, doesnt mean you’re not biased. It means you’re biased against him because you think he’s a racist.

Yeah, outrunning them does no good if you’re driving a prototype car that’s not supposed to exist on the road yet. Unless you’ve got an enclosed transport truck with ramps that’s just waiting a few miles up the road to swallow the car and get it out of sight, you’re SOL.

Oh yes you can, as long as the next exit is before the next cop.

Would have been a much more powerful message if they didn’t include partisan remarks about Trump; Hillary’s no saint either. If you want to motivate everyone to get out and vote, leave bias out of the message.

You’re absolutely right for semi-floating axles used in 1/2 ton or lighter pickups, where weight is a major factor. With HD pickups that have a GVWR over 8500lbs, fuel economy ratings literally go out the window. All HD pickups that I know of use full floating axles, which are crazy strong:

No argument here, Rokons are kind of like 2 wheeled riding mowers in terms of actual operation. Top speed of 30-ish, and you have to change gears when stopped. They even sound like a lawnmower. But they are stupid simple and easy to fix in the field.

For the truly ludricous trails, Rokon 2WD motorcycles can take you places that ordinarily are only reachable on foot, including mountain summits.

size & weight is always the limiting factor. This is why you can take an ATV places that even custom rock crawlers can’t go, and why you can take a dirt bike places even ATVs can’t reach.

Used my truck as a ladder, pulled up alongside my house to stand on the roof and clean the gutter.

I still have every last saved game file dating back to 1997/PS1. DexDrive ftw.

Maybe by 2525.

Mmm, all those unburnt hydrocarbons evaporating into the atmosphere.

Abroad, it’s much more common to see single-cab tray-back trucks based off mid-sized platforms and their carrying-capacities get much higher than ours.

I thought a ton of torque was 2,000 ft lbs?
