Okay, but where are these trainings happening?
Some trucking companies have a rig in their parking lot that scrapes the snow and ice off trailers. It is a metal frame with a suspended, height adjustable blade that the truck drives through. Always seemed to me like a great solution that means no one need leave the ground.
Skid-pad training is only a singular example of one type of training that could be included in a comprehensive driving program. My original argument still stands that neither this, nor other forms of advanced driving training, are included in most US based driving education.
You seem to be intentionally missing the other detail, which is that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and without several hundred hours of special training, drivers think they can do more than they can....
Mostly more dangerous. http://www.driveandstayalive.com/skid-pan-training-crisis-evasion/
That shit should be illegal. That could easily be 800-1000 bucks extra.
I’ve driven all over the world. I would say the US is pretty high up there on average driving quality. The entire continent of Asia is out except for maybe Singapore.
Does “Drivers Ed” still exist?
What is a skid pad going to teach the average driver?
Everybody thinks they’ve found the state with the worst drivers.
Fuck. That. Shit. I don’t live in Leonia but I cannot quantify the murderous rage I’d be filled with if I can’t even leave my driveway because of NYC traffic.
It’s just a horrid place.
Great looking, interesting car that probably is fun to drive. And it is in great shape! But the price is still too much for something that old....
Not to mention, that car is ugly and boring looking.
Keanu is an American treasure and one of the greatest actors of all time.
And I’m actually getting tired of ONLY getting 36MPG combined out of my civic.
I have found that when the light turns green, I can push the clutch, get in gear and get moving before most of the automatic cars around and behind me wake up to fact that the light is green.
Based on my experiences, I’d guess F has to at least be #3, if not higher.
I talked with several Texas dealers about used and certified Rs in stock, and all three were being sold within a whisker of new MSRP.
