THE PAINT! WHAT IF SHE PUT A CREASE IN THE SHEETMETAL?
I bought manuals for two reasons - they were more fun and got better fuel economy besides.
Are all clutches for high HP cars heavy as hell?
There is supposed to be an “Abba” in there somewhere. Just ask the guys from Top Gear.
I always laugh at the time my friend was selling his old TJ, and he got a call from a buyer who said he was interested because he needed something that got better gas mileage than what he was driving.
I’ve brought home more than a liter several times (usually a few bottles of wine). Technically, duty is owed on anything above a liter, but unless you are buying VERY expensive booze, the duty amounts to a couple of dollars, which isn’t worth the time of Customs to process. They get huffy that you declared your booze…
I hate to break it to you, but 6 times 9 is 54 not 42
Oh. Still missing a reference. But thanks.
The trouble with the cheesy music is we can’t hear the universal power steering squeal these GM pickups featured.
That and you notice the driver stays out of the boost until 6th gear. I assume they were trying to keep the engine/intake as cool as possible to make maximum power when it is needed for top speed.
Everyone else basically took the perspective of “you had one job to do!” even though nobody ever, you know, taught you how to do that job to begin with.
It now has so many features that weren’t available for real Chargers (example: 4-wheel disc brakes) that it deserves the “+”.
My biggest disappointment about browsing for cars online is against the dealerships who do not actively update their online inventory and listings.
Same thing happened with the only car I ever bought new. The dealership told me Mazda wouldn’t build the Black Cherry Mica paint with the two-tone leather interior (despite the sales literature indicating otherwise). But, they might be able to get one in gray if I put down a deposit today and then pay $1200 over MSRP.
What else is annoying is when one of those ads that includes all the standard equipment leaves out any mention of the items that are actually options for that car. And then when you call the dealer to find out if those items are present on the car in question, they keep telling you about the equipment that is standard…
My Charger is a mutt. It began as a plain-jane 318 XP Charger. The 440 came out of a police interceptor ‘78 Fury which I bought at an auction.
Wrong layout.
That’s because you bought it at 100k. Everything must have been changed 2-3 times before you got it.
Sue him.
The sun visor is very slightly more secure, since the keys aren’t in plain sight (as they would be in the ignition). It requires someone to actually poke around in the car to find them. I suppose the idea is that keys in the ignition is an implied invitation to move the car if you need.
