Looking at this car, it did occur to me that most of the interested parties might want it for parts. It would make a good donor for many items. I feel the asking price is inappropriate for a parts car, though the rarity certainly is a factor that would make it worth more than an “average” parts car.
Granted,the only reason they do it is because they are compelled by the government and/or it is due to a safety issue,but it isn’t unprecedented for a manufacturer to correct a mistake that was obviously theirs.
