Shale changed what Peak Oil means, as a concept. Prior to the American energy revolution, Peak Oil meant when supply will peak, and then start falling.

Peak oil was more of a concern before shale became a viable resource. It’s pushed peak oil back quite a bit. The companies are investing in renewables, but not nearly as much as they likely need to, especially for surprise downturns like they’re in now.

Couple that with the youth having to work multiple jobs, closed polling places, closed primaries (or ‘open’ ones that require secret passwords to get crossover ballots).  Anything to make it harder to vote...
