We're calling Bud Light beer now?

Just popping in here to agree with most the posters. I did not all get the "cutting" vibe from this anime transformation.

"Just shut the fuck up."

"inspired by the art of Ralph.."

Who you callin' 'merican?

Why would you have a This Island Earth reference without an interocitor?

I went into the theater yesterday really wanting to love Gravity, but it just wasn't the case. I liked the effects, characters, and pacing, but the series of events that are put together to make this one event are built on so many bizarre coincidences. If I'm being honest, I found the series of events absurd.

Now,

Predicted Russia would involve itself in a neighboring country harboring insurgents that are terrorizing their cities?

Oh yeah. Gotcha.

"Troubling worldview"?!

I just want to be clear that "How's your body?" Is a pretty dumb translation of "genki desu ka?"

There are a number of things wrong with this article.

I hate to sound like the "back in my day" guy, especially because my appreciation of Anime came over a decade after the guys I looked up to were bootlegging it in the 80s.

Then you are a child.

I don't necessarily think exposed breasts = excessive fan service.

I'm not going to go through them all, but there are a bunch of great anime films—mostly form the 80s—that could fit on this list.

I think this is an extremely stupid argument. Kubrick clearly is an auteur (who would argue this?), so his films are part of a body of work that is going to contrast with source material rather than compare with it.

This isn't a case of "being retarded." This is something that ALL South Korean people believe in. It is a cultural phenomenon.

"Will it ruin the game?"

So fucking sick of CGI cartoons.
