The tires aren’t bad anymore. Some of the highest rated all seasons are around $250 each..which is still a lot for a 4 inch wide tire. One odd aspect of these cars is their migration. David Attenborough should narrate a special on it. They all slowly migrate west due to warranty laws by state, eventually ending up in

Not a single “Scotty doesn’t know” reference?  I’m sad.

The BMW I3. It was a ground breaking design and is still exotic, even by today’s standards. Disclaimer: I own one and drive it daily. 51k miles on it and climbing.

This concept is how air traffic control works, which isn’t exactly communism.

I wish more people understood this. You cant carry into the post office because it is a federal offense. You also cant have it in your car in the parking lot of a freestanding post office because that’s still federal property. Laws and stuff.

Weirdly, not all plates are public property. In some states (take Idaho for example), the plate belongs to the registered owner and not the vehicle. I have a classic plate for my old motorcycle with a single digit. They can be bought and sold (read: transferred between agreeing parties) and the plate is likely worth

I’ve got young kids (7, 6 and 3 now) that have been watching bluey since it came out. Not once have I watched an episode I thought inappropriate for them, and I’ve seen them all. Even..ahem...aquired them in their original version for on demand viewing.  Did have to explain what capsicum was.  Bell peppers.

The only real issue here is stuff that gets neglected until it breaks. We have an old K5 blazer that’s been in the family since it was new. The old people changed the oil and just drove it. My mom blew the engine at 99k miles and they had it replaced with a rebuilt long block. Engine plus labor was $1500, 25 years

With Mine Cart Madness, “guests will hop into a mine cart and careen through the jungle...”  Kids will love this ride while it triggers PTSD in their parents!  (not making light of actual PTSD)

Where are they measuring? What about old broncos and blazers that have higher fenders in the front stock? Dont get me wrong, I think everyone doing this warcrime to their trucks should be forced to stare into their own headlights until they are legally blind if they have ever driven these abominations at night on

They all did that though.  Record profits through covid had to be maintained.  I was using the driving tracker thing and had no infractions at all.  Rates still went up 50% with farmers and they cited inflation when I dumped them like a toxic ex.  Yeah...inflation...not price gouging....sure.

In Washington, you can put a child as young as 5 on a motorcycle and get on the freeway. Seems insane to me but that’s the law. My 8 year old loves puttering around the neighborhood on my adv bike (back rest and side boxes to hang on to) but he isn’t ready for the highway yet.

These bikes are amazing if you want enough torque at idle to climb a 45 degree grade and dont care that it’s 0 to 60 time is...yes...ish. The problem is so few were made for the military that they command a premium simply for how rare they are. They had a claimed range of around 600 miles on a tank if I remember

We just got our Sienna with (what I assume) is a very similar drive train. It is smooth and efficient as a whole but still catches me off guard when the motor starts. It isn’t quiet or even what I’d call refined. It is just kinda...noisy and sounds unbalanced. It reminds me of a lawn tractor on the transition from

For...arresting criminal assholes? This dude is a huge sack of shit and you are choosing “mah freedums” being more important then anyone elses?  Weird hill to die on dude...

Or...and hear me out here....arrest the piece of shit for illegal modifications, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, exhibition of speed, racing on a public road, violation of noise ordinances....I mean the list goes on and on and on....go to jail, lose car to impound... Why are we not doing this?  If only there

Counter-argument: our Toyota minivan feels small while driving it, returns 36 mpg and is much easier in parking lots for 3 kids with sliding doors. More efficient, all wheel drive, handles fine, more space. For a gaggle of kids, a minivan is a tool that is difficult to beat.

Not sure where those range numbers came from. My 2015 has 89 miles of range fully charged and another 100 from the Rex if driven gently. I can’t imagine the range extender lost over half it’s fuel tank on the later models. In the US, the fuel tank was 2.5 gallons on my model but limited to 1.9 usable due to...reasons?

I read “Lego” at first.  My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Yeah, that’s exactly what the finance dude said to me 3 weeks ago when we picked up our Sienna. I said “Show me the law that states this.” And he immediately backpedaled and said it was management directed.
