My experience (while still anecdotal obviously) spans half a dozen states and at least 20 costco gas stations. All the of the attendees have been friendly and seemed pretty ok with being there. (Even hot in Hawaii, and freezing cold in Idaho)

Fast forward 20+ years and someone on this site will be looking at my weird truck the same way.
Well...considering they are “religious”...yes.
Yup, and no matter what I said, they just kept telling me it needed to be done. Trying to explain why it couldn’t be done just got me blank stares...and I even showed them the staggered sizes on the tires...more blank stares.
I bought the wheel and tire warranty on an 2008 E90 M3. It had the runflats and no spare. Trust me, this is something that should be considered if the roads around you aren’t basically perfect.
Please no. There are already too many brodozers with LED death beams that point up because they paid $49.95 for their shitty pep boys lift that sags the ass and points the micro-suns directly at eye level.
Huge B and C pillars and blacked out tiny rear windows on SUVs because cameras. Rear view cameras get better every year but they still don’t tell the whole story and you cant activate them manually in most vehicles. It is easier to back up my ram 2500 then my wife’s little lexus nx because I can actually see out the…
“A lot of people in Texas are seeing snow for the first time in their lives and that naturally leads to a lot of questions.”
Wait: “...AAA arrived on the scene just a few minutes after they called for help.” Does that actually happen?
Add my name to the list. Was a long time ago but my potential trade in vanished and then they “couldn’t find it” but I wasn’t qualified for the vehicle I wanted and “what about this ridiculously less capable option or this really old one that doesn’t work?” This stealership was eventually black-listed by all 6…
Anecdotal evidence does not represent the majority.
I rarely do it but I did hot refuel (motor running) my diesel the other day. Way less risk then gas and usually accepted wherever it is cold. It was 6 degrees outside. -20 with the windchill. The best part is I still had to stand outside in those temps for over an hour just to get my registration done.
What did the sun ever do to us?
First gen Isuzu Impulse had a similar design. The pods were movable and the turn signal was a flap that came straight out of one of the pods behind around 9 on the steering wheel.
Wait wait, you mean freedom of speech isn’t also freedom from consequences and his family is suffering because he is a complete loon and shitbag? Well damn...sure hope he can be a “PART OF THE SOLUTION”.
Depends on the manufacturer and how shit they build their cars. I had a leased sentra in hawaii because I needed something cheap that I really didnt have to worry about. 3 year lease. I took it to the beach a bit with surf boards inside but I also washed it once a week. Rust was showing on the roof before the lease…
Everything you said...plus that vanity plate. This car is for sale because something catastrophic is hiding or right around the corner. If i was willing to drop another 5-8k into it immediately to right the wrongs, I suppose it might be worth it, but I’d be concerned just driving it home with all those red flags.
Well that’s because Tacoma’s last.
They should have learned that lesson with the Syclone back in 91. 4.3 V6 with a turbo. Ohh and toss in that AWD to make the mustangs and vettes cry.
This right here. We had a leaf and HAD to charge it for about an hour in town every single time we went, so our electric bill would only account for half the miles or so...and put us near the average.
