2nd Gear Start
atchawaii

Harley Davidson - noun - The most efficient way to turn gasoline into noise without the embarrassing byproduct of horsepower.

The biggest loss here is the sound of the cold starting that V8. It was gloriously loud and angry as the computer just opened up everything and let it roar. Of course it was quickly reined in but for a second or two...

This will be going on my desk....with red dots for eyes...and a minifig in each mouth....some red underneath.  Zombie dinoland (Dino-zombieland?) behind my keyboard.

Wow, 23 gallons is kind of terrible for something with that fuel economy.  I expected 30ish.

Am I missing these because I don’t have the season pass or just because I’m only on my first round of TVHM playthrough and mayhem 1?

While my commute certainly isn’t the longest at around 30 miles one way, the climb from sea level to 6300 feet makes it brutal on most vehicles. I regularly see broken down cars on the side of the road and there are at least 2 vehicles that burn to the ground each year. Add to the hill climb that it is all 2 lane

Its the same price as an electric car....Can someone please explain to them that they are not entitled to recoup the entire R&D in the first 17 sold? At 10k, these probably sell out and stay that way. At 30k....it moves WAY out of most people’s fun budget. Oh well, bad decisions and more bad decisions. I’v been

Oddly, it seems roku has some deal with youtube because if I try to watch a kids show on my phone on youtube, I can expect roughly 4000 ads per minute to interrupt it.  If I watch the same on my roku, there is a single ad at the beginning of an hour long video that can be skipped after 4 seconds.

My personal experience, anecdotal of course, is that those dropping the big bucks are taking them off the lots while me, who wanted a base model, had to special order.

Just do what I did.  Buy an FCA product.  The carpet doesn’t quite fit right and some things don’t work straight from the factory.  That way you don’t really notice anything as it gets older....well except for the number of times it is in the shop for recalls and warranty repairs...

Funny, my 6x6 pinzgauer never had a problem climbing...anything. Granted it was basically an AWD setup with 4 hydraulic lockers that could be engaged separately, which I can only assume is slightly more functional then the setup in that ford...

I wish Hawaii wasn’t so horrible with basic utilities.  This is a really cool concept that would actually work with my commute, but the price of entry plus electricity costing more than gasoline by mile...sigh

This reminds me of when I took my E90 M3 in for a tire replacement. Oahu roads ate 5 tires in 2 years. I had insurance on them so it was just a drop off but they insisted. INSISTED!!!! That the tires need to be rotated.

I’ve seen 15ish year old bentley continentals with 35k miles or so for low to mid 30s. Granted it is a little high, but the styling is very close to the current gen. Close enough that it wouldn’t be mistaken for being that old by non car people. No idea on maintenance and such, but for a comfortable, low mileage, rich

I thought you were writing about my family for a minute there. I swear the only reason my rural, trump supporting, confederate flag flying parents even talk to me is for the grandkids. Fortunately, I made it clear early on that politics will get them excommunicated from the kids. I did it to grandma so no one in my

I love these cars.  I want a 280zx...but that price is just way to high for a rough rough body.

Single easiest way to tell if the driver is a douchebag.

garmin vivoactive 3 with the music option. I’ve seen them on sale down to about 100 bucks. Small and just seems to work. I’ve been wearing one for over a year. My only gripe is I wish the battery lasted longer then 3 to 5 days.

I like this so much. Like way more then should be reasonable. If I lived in a place where I could actually drive to see this thing, I’d probably own it. With a few hundred dollars worth of parts, this would make the perfect daily driver for me.

I’m pretty light on mine so I’m hoping for a long life for the running gear and such. The fuel delivery, as you mentioned, is the real wild card here, along with the emissions stuff. If I make it to 100k miles with only oil/filter/fuel filter changes and adding the def blue, I’ll be slightly ahead on cost, and that is
