Your comment sounds a lot like someone who hasn't driven a modern Volvo with a 4 cylinder. I just drove one on Saturday (V60) and couldn't tell the difference between the 4 cylinder and the 5 cylinder engine. The car was very quiet considering I had my foot firmly planted on the pedal-much quieter than the V6 in a

This doesn't work. Why? Because banks know you need them more than they need you.

I have a stupid high interest rate credit card with Chase. It's had a zero balance for over a decade because I refuse to use it (on principal). I've asked three or four times for them to reduce the interest rate. They have declined

Just outside one of the 'burbs of Chicago...and I'd agree with your statement!

I can only speak from experience in both California and Illinois. I've no doubt Illinois is alone in the ghetto MacGyver rides. Actually, I know Illinois isn't alone because I've also seen some of the glorious pieces of shit they drive in Kentucky and Ohio. Very similar to Illinois, actually.

I know the Illinois

Well, given that it's Illinois-one of the most corrupt states in the union, I'll have to give that one to you.

I bet they didn't make it out of the parking lot...

If I had $50 for every car I've seen burn to the ground on the highway in Illinois, I'd be able to buy one of those fancy TempurPedic beds...I moved out here in 2001 and in the first year, I think I saw four car fires. I thought it was a fluke. It's been that way

The emissions test is a joke, tbh. If a car throws a code and that code is cleared, it's fine, even if the root cause of the code is not fixed. They don't care if there's something wrong with the car-just no codes at the time of the "test". All they look for is 'gross polluters' and OBDII codes.

California has a

I wish they'd do inspections in Illinois...at least 20% of the vehicles on the road would disappear because they're not roadworthy.

I understand how to oversteer a car and that it's entirely possible in almost any semi-modern vehicle. The baja bug, in its own right, is like a pregnant rollerskate with low power, terrible traction and imprecise steering (very unlike the Porsche in the video you posted). It's ridiculously easy to get it to

As the owner of two 60's era VWs, I'm curious how you managed to oversteer a baja bug in the snow...the understeer I get - they're really good at that with little influence.

How utterly sad does your life have to be for you to consider doing this?

Given that the 'stang driver has turned himself in, the GTR driver can't be kept under wraps for too long. Someone knows who he is and will rat him out...people are notoriously terrible at keeping secrets.

Guess you'll just have to wait.

I've thought about the Polestar version but the result doesn't add that much over the R-design overall, in spite of the 20% price difference, so I'd go with the R Design and add some aftermarket suspension to stiffen it up a bit.

There are a few things I don't like about the newer V60 R design compared to the V70R but

I concur.

On one hand, I'm hoping I can find a low mile V70R so I don't wind up with a car payment.

Given that there are SO many witnesses and people, in general, are terrible at keeping shit to themselves (hello, Facebook/YouTube! Guess what I did today?) both of these d-bags will get caught. And since there's so much social media attention on this particular race, the DA will make a spectacle/example out of them.

Too small for me, unfortunately. I have a little guy who comes with a lot of large accessories-which is why I'm looking forward to the wagon. I don't want a 2nd SUV in the garage.

I went to the local VW dealer in search of a replacement for my 2008 Mazdaspeed3 recently. Just for the hell of it, I sat in the Beetle in the showroom, and that's when the sales guy appeared out of nowhere.

I've been to several other countries and I think I got a little jaded...thinking I'd seen most of what could be seen. That changed the first time I landed at Narita. So many things about Japan made me realize that I hadn't seen nearly enough.

I'll bet his excuse is that he's from Russia and they drive on the sidewalk.
