An honest work truck is one that can haul an appreciable load. 900 pounds doesn’t cut it.
My thoughts exactly. everyone always complains how expensive and bloated trucks ( and most cars in general) have become. I own a 2019 crew cab SE 4x4 and it has been a wonderful truck. I’ve driven it cross country multiple times and its gotten me home every time. I’ve even driven it completely maxed out ( jeep cj-5…
This is exactly why my wife likes her new Leaf so much. It’s not half bad to drive with all the torque on tap, it has decent features for the money, and it “just works”. We’ve never had an issue with it other than when she left the door ajar and drained the 12V battery, but you can jump it as you would with an ICE…
“Just works” is a severely underrated trait.
A lot of people prefer “meh”. The new Nissans look just interesting and modern enough, the styling is cohesive if borrowing a bit from others. It works for those who can’t quite swing a Toyota or Honda but who find the new Kia/Hyundai design language to be too polarizing.
1st - Nissian is filling a niche here for “meh” transport. Gets you from point A to B, has enough useful options, and for short money.
Normally, there are so many comments here complaining that there isn’t an “affordable small truck that is great for honest work” anymore.
Personally, I think the ‘20 Frontier might be a screaming deal now that the replacement has been unveiled. You get the nice new drivetrain on a proven platform.
I think they said in the show it is a modified motorcycle suspension.
I had a 2005 King Cab 4X4 (Nismo - 4.0/six speed manual)
I bought a 2008 crew cab 4x4 V6 model about 2 years ago for $6,000. There were a few maintenance items I had to take care of and the mileage is on the higher side, but really I have no complaints given what I paid for it. At the time I bought it, the used truck market near me was not great for someone with my budget…
2016-2019 Pro-4x with the six speed manual. Done.
Exactly. High/low/clutch on the left, reverse in the middle, brake on the right. Hey Elon, ITS NOT BETTER. Even Henry Ford had to admit it.
If you ask him nicely, Elon will give you 3 pedals: Forward, Brake, Reverse.
No.
I wish that Harley made a modern version of the VR1000
Didn’t think it would be possible to make a new Supra uglier, but here we are.
Duckbills!!!
The only time I’ve found center mounted infotainment screens useful is using Android Auto maps for navigation. I don’t have to have the phone in my hand or phone holder, and the screen is larger than my phone’s screen.
