What’s humorous about that is in parts of the Texas Hill Country close to Fredericksburg, to this day it’s not unusual to run into residents from that region who still speak German, and some will deliberately speak German when they want to complain about tourists to the Hill Country (of which there are many, as it’s…
How arrogantly will I act about that fact that I bought this over a Civic or Corolla?
Well Jesus, if our unpaid federal employees decided to react like this, we’d have a goddamn revolution on our hands.
I’ve stayed at a UK Travelodge before. What the guy did might actually be an impromement.
Black, had black now have white, black looked great for half a day, white has been far better at not looking dingy after a few days.
The issue that’s going on there though is the equivalent of the fly fisherman claiming that anyone who fishes with a spin lure “not a real fisherman” because of their chosen method. It’s gatekeeping and it’s BS to be honest.
The amount of elitism in your post nearly gave me aneurysm. The world of car enthusiasm is MUCH BROADER than performance. And even IF you are all about performance, you have no idea why this person ended up with this car.
It’s not just about a specific car’s rep, he (and other circle-jerkers on here) continuously try to dump on anyone who doesn’t drive the holy transmission. It’s as if they think that that choice alone makes you worthy to be called an enthusiast. Nevermind that most manual drivers on here probably have never changed…
Horseshit. I certainly fit the enthusiast definition by any reasonable standard and I’ve owned the 2013 version of this car with the same options. I’m no less of an enthusiast than anyone else just because I don’t want my bad knee to get eviscerated clutching every time I’m stuck in traffic on my commute.
Really, it’s because said new Supra seem to enjoy a “roof boobs” aesthetic I’m not used to seeing on cars that are not Dodge Vipers. It most accurately looks like a RC-F and Z4 love child.
Toyota should have named the car The Phantom Menace. Years of teasing and waiting and they give us Jar Jar Binks.
So create multiple accts and come back over and over. 340hp...like my wife’s ‘09 G37 which is naturally aspirated? She also has a convertible hard top and wood trim inside. Supra is looking like a mehh car.
Alternatively:
Maybe they’ll make the New Fairlady Z.
Bad take: isn’t this your fault, too? You wanted a Supra, badly. You wanted the ultimate Toyota tuner-sports car, the follow-up to the revered JZA80. You wanted something that can equal it, maybe even surpass it. You wanted the 2JZ engine. You bugged them for god knows how long. You saw all the SUpra builds. You got…
Another purge going on, at SpaceX this weekend.
Those are the precise words in the same exact order that came to my mind when I saw the pics after reading the title. That just isn’t a very good looking vehicle. I loved the Mk IV and owned a MK III, so this is quite disappointing.
Toyota has never been accused of excellence in exterior design. Add to this heightened expectations from the glacial reveal and ‘Meh’ is actually a compliment.
