That’s my experience with the system too. The fob has lock/unlock buttons as well. If there’s a problem with the remote unlock or the button there’s a key inside the fob. I do like unlocking and locking the car just by pressing a button on the door and it’s nice to not have the keys dangling from the steering column

I saw 1.62 for 87 in White Rock yesterday and 1.42 in Chilliwack today. A range of $4.77 to $4.18 U.S. per U.S. gallon. I had to make a trip to Hope and back but at least got to fill up with less expensive gasoline on the way home. 100LL Avgas is going to be rather expensive this summer I think. Meanwhile the guy I

Perhaps you meant to say “as long as they get everyone’s money”?

Sounds about right. Downright evil business practices that actually kill lower income people in order to bring him more money: just fine. Sleazy business practices that take money from high income people in order to enrich himself: LOCK THE BASTARD UP!

Which one is John Steed?

OK, that makes sense. I figured I must have been erroneous about the way I interpreted that part of the article.

How about Jesus Chrysler? Max Powerstroke? Would he have gotten into fewer or more bar fights if he had been named Sylvia Cedric Fairlady?

NHRA only allows turbochargers in some classes (I would like to be specific but you have to join the organization or pay to read the actual rule book), the Merlin stuck with mechanically driven superchargers for a couple of reasons: the RR engineers didn’t want to lose the reaction thrust they were getting from the

How many used WRX’s haven’t been, how shall I put this... savagely screwed up? I’m not asking snarkily I’m really curious. I see quite a few on the streets with questionable modifications and/or being driven in rather idiosyncratic ways (and admittedly, some stock or nicely modified ones being driven conservatively).

The Fairy Rotodyne was pretty bad too. Test pilot John Farley: “From two miles away it would stop a conversation. I mean, the noise of those little jets on the tips of the rotor was just indescribable.” Not great for something that was proposed as a VTOL inter-city transport.

Yep. Try a taildragger airplane sometime! Even the “docile” ones like the Cessna 140 can make a fool out of an inattentive pilot incredibly quickly. One very experienced taildragger pilot I knew bought a Pitts S1 and said every landing required a change of underwear and that it didn’t stop trying to groundloop until

Getting it moving should be a piece of cake compared to getting the body solid, sound and straight! If the customer has the time and money though I think full restoration is worth the trouble. They’re beautiful cars, drive nice and can actually be really used without breaking the bank in maintenance costs.

I actually find I prefer the back-up camera setup usually found on entry level models where the display is in the rear view mirror itself. That way I can get both views at once and find the view in the place I instinctively look at to see behind me. They’re small but still let me see exactly how much room I have

Actually, the test drive was in a 2015 the dealer had on hand as a trade in (which I was fine with for the initial test drive as I got to see how a two year old BRZ held up) and even that had enough power for me. Even with the older engine I liked the second gear acceleration for example - it felt good and was of a

I’m guessing that there has to be an override of that front trunk lid release that prevents this from functioning if the car has power... otherwise couldn’t anyone with a 12V battery open it up?

The BRZ was certainly more practical in that it has rear seats (yeah, I know how vestigial they are but they can be used in a pinch - no pun intended - if you need to carry three or even four people a short distance, sort of like the jump seats in my old pickups) and considerably more cargo space. It’s just that it

Or does it at least do double-duty as a snowblower?

20psi. tire pressure? That’s crazy! As crazy as the idea that GM would ever specify 15psi. on one of their cars - preposterous! (OK, I know that was a special case for a decidedly atypical GM product:-)

That’s my feeling too which is why I bought one. I loved the BRZ too - it felt more light and nimble and more of a sports car. I think I favored the 370Z in the end because it was going to be used on a lot of long trips and in snarled traffic and it felt a bit smoother and “GT-ish”. I looked at a lot of other cars,
