In the context of a normal person using a phone, that is exactly called "figuring it out". Although, you make a point - when it's that simple, it's hardly figuring anything out. And Android can do that just as well as iphone now. 2 years ago, you might have a point.

They should make planes out of the black box stuff, too ;)

No, it totally works! You forget they used F-5s!

That's because Woz is an engineer. Jobs was a marketer.

I also tinker with my phone. However, what blows me away is that my wife and both my parents, who /are/ technology-inept, have had no problem with their android phones (and no, i didn't help - they just found things). My mom has found a number of games while traveling or waiting on things, and uses google talk on

I find it confusing and sad that the macbook apparently can't play nicely with anything except the iphone.

The varying friction of my fingertips makes trackpads extremely annoying sometimes. If my hands aren't in the narrow zone where the correct moisture content lets them glide effortlessly and still register, I pull out my mini mouse for my laptop.

More hassle? All you have to do is email it to the send-to-Kindle email address. There's even one that ensures it will only go over wifi, and thus be completely free.

Man, I don't know what you did right, but in my experience, they don't contain any information to themselves. =p

because people write useless FUD-inspiring stories?

It's not much different in Android.. You really have to go hunting to find them. If you stick to browsing the most popular apps like almost everyone in the world, iOS or Android, you won't ever encounter one.

Unless it moves my window icons back to the right side, I'm not interested =p

Stupid pet peeve: When you use "$", you do not also have to say "dollars". It's like saying ATM Machine.

Plus, it'd surely have to multitask.

The one in the Strategic Air & Space museum in Omaha used to be sitting on the tarmac before they moved to a new facility. You could molest it all you wanted - and a couple times a year, you could actually climb a ladder and look in the cockpit. It was incredible.
