I don’t know why that made me laugh hysterically then suddenly feel weirdly sad and sympathetic for the washing machine. I think there's something wrong with me.
So sad that this essentially means that Ashanti has a maximum of 4 years to feel safe...
Absolutely. So much of it is just a kneejerk pushback against “those people.” Every group that has had to push for civil rights has faced a backlash from a certain segment of society — usually spearheaded by some white, cishet men who are terrified that they will lose the privilege that I suspect they know is unearned…
One weird thing up here, though — I know a handful of people who dip pizza slices in ranch dressing. Always thought that was strange.
Yeah, that's the norm here. I live in a town about halfway between Milwaukee and Sheboygan, btw. If you suggested to someone around here that you shouldn't use ketchup, they'd look at you like you were from another planet. Actually been to cookouts that had multiple bottles of ketchup because everyone uses it on…
The whole Midwest? I don’t think so. I live in Wisconsin, and literally everyone I know puts ketchup on hotdogs, burgers, and brats. My parents are from Chicago (and I was raised in the Chicago suburbs), and we all use ketchup (though we add celery salt to hotdogs, which the people I know in Wisconsin think is weird).
